Wellhead Protection Plan

The City of Bovey is proactive in protecting our public water supply and well. The City began work on the Wellhead Protection Plan in 2007 and with the help of the Minnesota Department of Health the plan was adopted in 2011.

The plan includes information about the City well and identifies possible contamination sources and action steps to be taken to work towards keeping our drinking water safe. The plan is below. If you have any questions feel free to contact City Hall at 218-245-1633.

UPDATE: The City has begun work on amending the existing Wellhead Protection Plan. This will take a few years as the plan needs to be reviwed along with all the data associated with the plan. The City will once again work in conjunction with the Minnesota Department of Health to accomplish the Plan 1 amendment.
